Inspired by the beauty of nature,
CND has created six new lovely nail colors for fall. Available in both the Vinylux and Shellac formulation, the
Fall 2018 Wild Earth Collection offers creamy browns and nudes with a few pops of sophisticated jewel tones. To read my reviews and see some close-up swatches of each shade, click......
Brimstone:
This is a muted beige yellow nude. The formulation is nicely opaque but I did end up needing a third coat to ensure a completely even coverage. If you are skillful enough, however, you can probably get away with just two coats.

Spear:
A unique dusty orange cream, Spear is quite pigmented for a shade this light. The creamy formulation provides a smooth and even coverage. I used two coats for the swatches below

Arrowhead:
This is a rich chocolate brown. The formulation is on the sheerer side for a shade this deep but two coats gave a nice and even coverage.

Element:
My favorite out of the six, Element is a bright cherry tomato red. The finish has a slightly translucent quality but the coverage is nice and even. I used two coats for the swatches below.

Dreamcatcher:
This is a light warm grape purple. The formulation is surprisingly sheer for a color this rich. It was challenging to get clean lines around the cuticle and even with two coats there was subtle patchiness so I used three coats to ensure an even coverage.

Blue Moon:
A dark and inky denim blue, Blue Moon also lands on the sheerer side but two coats provide a sufficiently opaque and even coverage.

Overall this collection is a bit of a mixed bag. It seems that CND has brought the formulation back to the sheerer variety which is not my preference especially when it comes to deeper fall and winter shades. My picks are Element, Brimstone, and Spear. Have you spotted this collection in stores or at your local salon? Which shade is your favorite? Share with me in the comments below!
