Earlier this year, Yves Saint Laurent introduced a brand new member of its Mon Paris family called Mon Paris Couture Eau de Parfum ($123 CAD for 50 ml). Described as a new "sparkling, citrus interpretation of the iconic Mon Paris floral signature", Mon Paris Couture boasts notes of white fl, rosebud, white musk, and patchouli. The Bottle:
Housed in a multi-faceted bottle, Mon Paris Couture is adorned with the Mon Paris Lavallière. Consisting of a polka-dot bow that's paired with a black leather bolo tie, the lavallière is secured with a silver plaque embossed with the "YSL" logo. The perfume liquid is tinted a light shade of lavender and a matching limited edition Mon Paris Couture Face Palette has been created in celebration of this scent.
The Scent:
Opening on a mouthwatering combination of bergamot and raspberry, YSL Mon Paris Couture is the ultimate fruity floral fragrance. After the refreshing top notes settle, a strong presence of rose and peony takes center stage, creating a feminine and intoxicating scent that's nicely complemented by hints of musk and patchouli.
The scent wears well and only a couple of sprays are needed to pack a punch. Overall, this is a very well composed fruity floral. Although the scent profile isn't super unique, it has the perfect balance of fruits, florals, and musk that's bound to be a crowd pleaser. Have you tried the original Mon Paris?
