Giorgio Armani Beauty | Neo Nude Fusion Powder ($68 CAD for 3.5 g):
Described as a luminous finishing powder made with a special formulation that applies like a powder but transforms to a "veil-like liquid", the Neo Nude Fusion Powder is available in 12 shades. The powder comes in a travel-friendly compact with an extra compartment that holds a small powder brush for touch-ups on the go. The lid is adorned with a raised glossy sticker and the powder is pressed with a subtle wave pattern.
The powder has an ultra-silky and creamy formulation that's very sheer in terms of coverage. The shade "
5.5 Beige" is way too dark for my skin tone so I couldn't really test it out on my face but what I can note is how sparkly the powder appears in the pan. With a visible sheen, the powder has fine pearly shimmers scattered throughout. When I first opened the compact, I actually thought that this was a highlighter. However, it is the subtle scattered sparkles that provide the powder with a luminous finish. With that said, this powder is very subtle, unless you really pack it on with a sponge, it barely shows up on the face.
Overall the Neo Nude Fashion Powder a pretty interesting finishing powder. The formulation reminds me a bit of Guerlain Meteorites in that despite looking very shimmery, the effect is rather subtle. Although I couldn't fully test it out, I think this is definitely a powder suitable for those with normal to dry skin looking to add a subtle glow to their complexion as the last step in their makeup routine. This is definitely one of those products that you will need to test out in person so do check it out in stores.
Giorgio Armani Beauty | A-Line Liquid Blush ($48 CAD for 3.9 ml):
Housed in a super chic nude-colored tube paired with a petal-shaped doe foot, the A-Line Liquid Blush is a natural, easy to blend water-based liquid blush. It is available in four shades and I have here "
51 Raspberry", a light pinkish red. With a slightly viscous but lightweight formulation, the A-Line Liquid Blush seamlessly blends onto bare cheeks, creating a flattering, glow-from-within flush. However, when applied over foundation (even with no powder), there is some subtle patching, which is problematic. Therefore, the product is definitely more appropriate for days when you go makeup-free with just a hint of blush. In terms of longevity, the blush was pretty lackluster. I experienced significant fading on my combination skin and the blush was completely gone by the end of the day.
Because the A-Line Liquid Blush packaging looks so much like that of a liquid lip color, I tried the blush on my lips just to see how it would work. The formulation doesn't absorb as well and applies slightly patchy but the color and natural effect are super pretty! Therefore, if you are really in a hurry, the A-Line Liquid Blush doubles as a lip color as well! Overall, this is a flattering and easy to wear liquid blush. The formulation isn't perfect but the product is still great for those lazy, no-makeup makeup kind of days.
