Lancome x Proenza Schouler | Chroma Eye Palette in "01 Warm Chroma" ($90 CAD for 9 g):
Housed in a simple cardboard compact, the Chroma Eye Palette in "
01 Warm Chroma" is a ten-shade matte palette consisting of five powder shadows and five cream shadows (denoted with asterisks in the swatches below). The palette offers a nice array of warm tones in the orange and pink family. The matte powdered shadows are decently pigmented and silky in texture while the creams are on the drier side and sets to a mostly powder-dry finish. I'm not a big fan of cream shadows and I especially don't like it when palettes mix powders and creams. However, the powder formulation here is not too dusty so there isn't too much "cross-contamination". Overall, this is a cute little palette that includes a wearable selection of oranges and pinks. However, the $90 price tag is quite outrageous given the simple packaging and the fact that there are only 9 g worth of products altogether.

Lancome x Proenza Schouler | Lip Kajal Duo Chroma High Precision Lipstick & Illuminating Gloss ($40 CAD for 2.7 g + 5.6 ml):
Hands down the most intriguing release in this collaboration, the Lip Kajal Duo Chroma is a two-in-one lip product that comes with a kajal-shaped lipstick on one end and a lip gloss on the other. The lipstick features a pigmented, matte finish that's opaque in one swipe. The formulation feels slightly drying but the wear is long-lasting (when worn alone without the gloss) and mostly smudge-proof. The pointy bullet shape is certainly great for outlining the lips but I still prefer a traditional lipstick that's twist-up and retractable. Plus, after a few uses, the kajal tip rounds out and becomes less precise. The lip glosses, on the other hand, appear fairly pigmented in the tube but are in fact very sheer. There's a slight tackiness but the formulation is lightweight and nourishing.

01 Pink Chroma" consists of a rich berry kajal paired with a sheer pink gloss while "
10 Pure Brown" combines a sophisticated medium brown and a sheer nude gloss. I'm not sure if there were a one-off manufacturing mishap but the "01 Pink Chroma" gloss is strangely chunky while the "10 Pure Brown" gloss is even and smooth. Lastly, it's worth noting that the matte kajals can be easily worn on their own but the glosses definitely help amplify the color and add volume to the lips. See lip swatches of both shades below.

Housed in a limited edition packaging created especially for this collaboration, the L'Absolu Rouge Chroma Lipstick in "
111 Abstract Burgundy" is a sheer plummy wine red that appears almost black in the tube. The formulation is so slick and lightweight that it almost feels like a tinted balm. Naturally, the balmy formulation transfers easily with eating or drinking so regular touch-ups are needed throughout the day to keep the color strong.

Lancome x Proenza Schouler | Le Vernis Nail Polish in "356 Pink Chroma" ($22 CAD for 10 ml):
This is a sheer bright pink jelly nail polish with a surprisingly even formulation that applies with minimal patchiness. The color gives the nails a healthy flush of pink but the drying time is longer than traditional nail polishes. I used two coats for the swatches below.

Overall this is a very fun and colorful collection that feels both summer- and fall-friendly. The eyeshadow palette is nicely-formulated but the pricing is a little difficult to swallow. Therefore, my personal picks are the L'Absolu Rouge Chroma Lipsticks (available in three other shades) and the Lip Kajal Duo Chroma (available in two other shades).
