Pixi | Glow-y Gossamer Duo |
Pixi | Glow-y Gossamer Duo ($18 USD for 8.3 g each):
Housed in a simple but sturdy plastic compact, the Glow-y Gossamer Duo is a powder highlighter promising a natural, alluring glow. Each compact comes with two shades. "
Subtle Sunrise" consists with a warm rose gold and a classic champagne gold while "
Delicate Dew" consists of a light bronze gold and a pale pink champagne. All four shades are incredibly pigmented and high-shine. The formulation has a silky, lightweight consistency and although the shimmer particles are pretty sparkly, they don't come off as chunky or glittery. When lightly applied, the Glow-y Gossamer Duo provide a diffuse, shimmery sparkle but the effect can be easily built for a more intense sheen. I experienced some issues with application over powder as the highlighter didn't adhere as well as it did on un-powdered skin. Nevertheless, these are some really lovely powder highlighters available for a reasonable price.

Pixi | Liquid Fairy Lights Liquid Eyeshadow |
Pixi | Liquid Fairy Lights Liquid Eyeshadow ($20 CAD for 5 g each):
Available in five glittery shades, the Liquid Fairy Lights are liquid eyeshadows packaged in a clear acrylic tube paired with a doe-foot applicator. Filled with metallic and glitter particles, the formulation is on the thinner side and takes quite a while to completely set. I thought these would be identical to the Stila Magnificent Metals Glitter & Glow Liquid Eyeshadows (reviewed
here) but the formulation is less creamy and a little sheerer in comparison. When applied on bare lids, these look super patchy and messy so they are best used as glitter toppers gently dabbed on top of other eyeshadows. In terms of wear, these do set to a powder-dry finish but they are prone to smudging and transferring. And because they are so glittery, it does take some effort to remove. I recommend taking a small piece of tape to pick up remaining glitters after wiping with a cotton round soaked in makeup remover. See below for a breakdown of all five shades.
