For Holiday 2017,
The Body Shop has partnered up with fashion brand
House of Holland to inject some extra fun and style into its holiday gifts. I've always been pretty curious about The Body Shop's makeup products so today I want to share with you my review and swatches of the limited edition, three-piece

Packaging:
This three-piece liquid lipstick set from The Body Shop x House of Holland comes in a beautiful lip-shaped metal tin. Inside, the lipsticks are held in place by a removable cardboard insert so the tin can be repurposed into a storage container. As for the actual Matte Lip Liquids, they are packaged in a simple plastic lip gloss tube. The doe-foot applicator has a standard slanted tip- nothing fancy but it gets the job done.

Formulation:
Described as a liquid lipstick with a creamy and velvety texture, the Matte Lip Liquid from The Body Shop comes in 12 different shades. Included in this set are three of the brand's bestsellers. The lipsticks have an airy, whipped texture that sets to a matte, lightweight finish that's not transfer-proof. Both in terms of pigmentation and wear, there is a noticeable discrepancy between the shades so read on below for a full breakdown.
017 Mauritius Dahlia: A gorgeous wine red, this shade is very difficult to work with. The formulation is extremely patchy and the finish never seems to set. The color moves around very easily and bunches around the outer and inner rim of the lips. It is definitely a miss.

032 Windsor Rose: This is a classic beige nude. The pigmentation is not bad but the color applies a little streaky. Formulation-wise, this shade also feels dryer and chalkier as compared to the other two. Overall, however, it is much better than Mauritius Dahlia.

034 Nairobi Camellia: Hands down the star of this set, Nairobi Camellia is a beautiful neutral rose. The formulation is very pigmented and unlike Mauritius Dahlia, the finish sets nicely. Although it's not transfer-proof, it does not move around and form uneven patches.

Overall, this is a cutely packaged liquid lipstick set. Although all three colors are very pretty, the formulation is a mixed bag. I would recommend skipping the set and just picking up "034 Nairobi Camellia" on its own.
