LANEIGE Lip & Eye Makeup Remover and Vitamin Brightening Cleansing Water: Review
Now that the holidays are almost upon us, I'm sure many of you (myself included) will be finally rocking out some glitter eyeshadows or that one red liquid lipstick that you've been saving for a special occasion. Well, heavy-duty makeup is glam and fun but when it comes to taking them off at the end of the day, they can be a bit of a pain. So, I want to share with you a couple of stellar makeup removers from LANEIGE that you will want to befriend this season. To read my reviews of the Lip & Eye Makeup Remover and the Vitamin Brightening Cleansing Water, click......
LANEIGE Lip & Eye Makeup Remover: Review
LANEIGE | Lip & Eye Makeup Remover
LANEIGE | Lip & Eye Makeup Remover ($22 CAD):
This an oil-free "bi-phase" (water and silicone-based) makeup remover that wipes away even the toughest waterproof makeup. Formulated with extracts of green tea, water hyacinth ferment, aloe, chamomile, and a plethora of other botanical ingredients, the Lip & Eye Makeup Remover is a champ at melting off liquid lipsticks and waterproof eye makeup. The formulation even took off my beloved Fairydrop Waterproof Mascara with no efforts at all and I usually have to resort to oil-based products. Although a bit slick-feeling, the product is not greasy or heavy and it leaves the skin soft and conditioned.
LANEIGE Vitamin Brightening Cleansing Water: Review
LANEIGE | Vitamin Brightening Cleansing Water
LANEIGE | Vitamin Brightening Cleansing Water ($31 CAD):
A micellar water made with Barbados cherry extract, acai palm extract, and vitamin C, the Vitamin Brightening Cleansing Water is a gentle multi-purpose makeup remover. The formulation is not as potent as the Lip & Eye Makeup Remover as it won't take off waterproof mascara or eyeliner. However, this cleansing water is great at removing all other types of makeup (ex. foundation, powder, blush, brown liner) without leaving the skin feeling tight or dry. What I love the most is the super convenient packaging. Instead of a spout opening, the cap flips up to reveal a snazzy pump that allows you to directly dispense the product onto a cotton ball or pad without needing to pick up and tilt the bottle upside down. I wish more brands would employ this design as it would make our skincare routine more efficient and mess-free.
