Packaging:
The Gogotint comes in a small, 10ml glass bottle identical to that of the other Benefit liquid tints. The outside is wrapped with a layer of high-shine chrome design and the underside of the cap is attached to a small brush applicator. As I've mentioned in previous reviews, I'm not a fan of the small brush applicator because I find it quite unsanitary. With an old Benetint of mine, I actually noticed visible debris collecting at the bottom of the bottle after several months of use (yikes)! Therefore, I recommend using a Q-tip to apply the product; it's a little wasteful but it ensures that you aren't dipping and redipping a used brush into the bottle.
Formulation:
Similar to
Lollitint and
Posietint, the Benefit Gogotint is a multi-use lip and cheek stain with a viscous liquid formulation. The product has a pinkish-red hue; it's sort of similar to the classic
Benetint but much brighter and more youthful in comparison. Additionally, Gogotint is incredibly pigmented, much more so than all the previous Benefit tints. It goes on beautifully and will immediately stain so make sure you don't accidentally smudge it during application.
I've had problems using both Lollitint and Posietint on the lips as they tend to apply unevenly and leave behind a strange residue. However, with Gogotint, the pigmentation goes on smoothly with no obvious patchiness and after it sets, the color did not leave behind any noticeable textures on the lips. As is the case with most tints, the Gogotint is drying on the lips so I would definitely recommend topping it with a gloss or balm.
In terms of wear, the product is decent. Whether on the cheeks or on the lips, Gogotint will not transfer or smudge. However, when used as a lip color, Gogotint will not withstand too much eating or drinking. There will be some patchiness as the color fades but the overall look is still presentable.
Overall, this is a great addition to the Benefit liquid tint family. The formulation is super pigmented and the color is very flattering. If you've enjoyed the likes of Posietint, Chachatint, and Lollitint, you'll definitely love this one as well!
