Estee Lauder has a new lipstick collection for 2017! Available in 30 shades and four different finishes, the
Pure Color Love Lipsticks ($28 CAD) are all about color and fun. The wide color range can be mixed and matched to create your own customized lip color. Today, I have three mattes to share with you. To see some swatches and read my review, click......

Packaging:
The new Pure Color Love Lipsticks are housed in a beautiful gold and clear acrylic tube. The design is similar to that of the
Dior Addict Lipsticks; it's very elegant but also simple and modern. The actual lipstick bullet is tapered on both sides and the tip is cut straight across. The unique shape is supposed to help achieve a more precise application but I found it a bit strange to work with; a classic teardrop-shaped tip would have worked just fine.

Formulation:
As mentioned, the Pure Color Love range is available in four finishes: ultra mattes, shimmer pearls, cool chromes, and edgy cremes. The three shades I have here are all from the ultra matte family. In terms of formulation, the three shades vary quite a bit but they are all true mattes with a good pigmentation level. "
300 Hot Streak" is a bright orange-red; the texture is dry but the color applies nicely. The formulation is definitely drying so make sure to exfoliate and condition well before applying.

"
320 Burning Love" is a beautiful dusty wine red, the perfect fall and winter color. This shade has a much creamier texture; the color applies smoothly and it stays put without patching or shifting around on the lips. Finally, "
400 Rebel Glam" is a bright orchid pink. This shade is just as creamy as Burning Love but the formulation is patchy. It doesn't cling well to the lips and creases easily. In fact, Rebel Glam reminds me a lot of the
Too Faced Peach Kiss Moisture Matte Lipsticks, which also look uneven and feel overly silicone-y.
In terms of wear, these fare pretty well. The finish isn't transfer-proof but the colors cling well to the lips (with the exception of Rebel Glam). Overall, this is a pretty good matte lipstick range. I would not recommend Rebel Glam but the other two are great!
