If you've been reading my blog for a while, you'll know that I'm a huge fan of cleansing oils and cleansing balms. Last year I discovered the Estee Lauder Advanced Night Micro Cleansing Balm and I immediately fell in love. However, I have a new favorite to share with you and it is the Farmacy Green Clean Makeup Meltaway Cleansing Balm ($45 CAD). Formulated with antioxidant-rich Echinacea GreenEnvy extract, sunflower oil, ginger root oil, and moringa extract, this balm is nothing short of amazing! To read my full review, click......
Housed in a simple but sturdy plastic jar, Green Clean is a cleansing balm designed to gently melt away makeup, dirt, oil, and any other impurities on the skin. The jar comes with a small plastic spatula so you can easily scoop out the desired amount without contaminating the source. In addition to the ingredients I've mentioned above, the product is also formulated with lime oil, bergamot oil, orange peel oil, eggplant extract, turmeric extract, and papaya extract.
The balm has a soft citrus fragrance and although it appears solid in the jar, it melts upon contact with skin, removing every trace of makeup, including waterproof mascara. After rinsing with water, my skin feels softened, clean, and not at all greasy. Unlike many cleansing balms on the market, Farmacy's Green Clean does not leave behind a noticeable residue, so you can easily use it on its own without following up with a foam or gel cleanser.
Compared to the Estee Lauder Advanced Night Micro Cleansing Balm, my previous favorite, Green Clean performs just as well but with a more impressive list of ingredients. Additionally, in terms of value, Farmacy also beats out Estee Lauder as the Green Clean offers 90ml for $44 CAD while the Advanced Night costs $50 CAD for 70ml. So for those reasons, I'm officially declaring Green Clean as my new favorite cleansing balm. If you are a daily makeup wearer and are looking for a good cleanser that removes even the toughest waterproof makeup, this product has got you covered!
