For Fall 2017,
CND takes inspiration from the "mesmerizing transformation of colors" at dusk with the new
Nightspell Collection. Full of moonlit hues and dreamy colors, the range is one of the brand's best to date! To see some swatches and read my reviews for all six shades, click......
Lilac Eclipse:
This is a gorgeous dusty lilac cream. The formulation is very creamy, pigmented, and self-leveling. I used two coats for the swatches below.

Hypnotic Dreams:
An absolute stunner, Hypnotic Dream is a duo-chromatic soft green/purple shimmer. The formulation is slightly sheer but two coats give an even and lovely coverage. Alternatively, this can also be used over a base color for a more intense effect.

Berry Boudoir:
Perhaps the only miss in this collection, Berry Boudoir is a vampy oxblood red. The formulation is unfortunately sheer and patchy, requiring me to use three coats for a mostly opaque coverage.

Mercurial:
A stunning gunmetal silver, Mercurial is incredibly pigmented and well-formulated. The shimmery finish has almost a chrome-shine and although the polish appears to have a sparse sprinkling of mini silver glitters in the bottle, they don't really show up on the nails. I used two coats for the swatches below but you can probably get away with just one.

Viridian Veil:
A breathtaking cerulean metallic, Viridian Veil is a one-coat wonder. The formulation is literally like molten metal so just one swipe provides a high-shine, chrome-like finish.

Eternal Midnight:
A dark indigo blue splashed with a subtle sprinkling of duo-chromatic purple/blue micro-shimmers, Eternal Midnight is pigmented and creamy. I used two coats for the swatches below.

CND has been a bit of a hit and miss this year with their spring and summer lines but I am happy to report that this collection is amazing! With the exception of Berry Boudoir, all the shades are stunning and well-formulated. My personal recommendations are Hypnotic Dream, Mercurial, and Viridian Veil! In fact, Viridian Veil is probably one of my all-time favorite shades given how stunning and opaque it is! Well done, CND!
