Packaging:
The Volupte Tint-in-Balm comes in a sleek silver tube with a shiny and reflective finish. The packaging has a nice weight to it so the lipstick feels extra luxurious. The center of the tube is adorned with a colored band that indicates the shade inside. Around the band is an intricate cut-out pattern of the YSL logo. The actual lipstick has a slanted tip with a lip-shaped core infused with lip-conditioning ingredients while the outer layer contains the actual pigments.

Formulation:
With a nourishing core that's infused with apricot butter and jojoba oil, the Volupte Tint-in-Balm is a light and sheer tinted lip balm with a soft and refreshing pomegranate scent. The formulation is slick, lightweight, and very hydrating. All three shades I have here provide a subtle wash of color and a natural sheen. The balms apply pretty evenly although there may be some settling if you look very closely.

In terms of wear, these fare the same as your average lip balm. The color will transfer and fade within a couple of hours so reapplication will be needed to maintain the color. Overall, these are some very fancy and lovely tinted lip balms. The slick and lightweight formulation feels very nice on the lips but the price tag is quite hefty. But hey, this is YSL we are talking about so we know what we signed up for!
#1 Dream Me Nude: This is a light pink-beige with a very subtle dash of micro silver sparkles. The color may look a bit milky and patchy on darker lips so I think the color works best for those with paler skin and lips.
#6 Touch Me Red: A sheer pink cherry red, "Touch Me Red" is very flattering and youthful.
#8 Catch Me Orange: This is a sheer popsicle orange that's perfect for the summertime.
