Lancome Click & Glow Highlighting Skin Fluid

Packaging:
The Lancome Click & Glow Highlighting Skin Fluid comes in a sleek and travel-friendly click-pen with a unique curved flock-tipped applicator. The packaging is very original for a liquid highlighter but it didn't work that well in practice. One click of the pen dispenses quite a bit of product and unfortunately, by adjusting how hard you click the pen doesn't really change how much product comes out at a time. Also, the flocked applicator is impractical and unsanitary. I can't imagine anybody using a doe-foot to apply a highlighter on their cheeks so unless you are using this product for the eyes or brow bone, a squeeze tube with a tiny spout would have made for a much better packaging.

Formulation:
Available in four shimmery shades, the Click & Glow is a liquid highlighter that applies like a cream but sets quickly to a powder finish. Formulation-wise, the product is smooth, even, and easy-to-blend. Unfortunately, the color is just a bit too pigmented and metallic to my liking. I have here "02 Lumieres D'Or Rose", which is an intense rose gold shimmer. Don't get me wrong, the color really is a stunner, but it simply doesn't work well as a highlighter.

Not only does the product provide a noticeable golden brown tint, it is also super shimmery and metallic. I don't know about you but I'm someone who wants my highlighter subtle and glowy, not obviously colored or super sparkly. The finish it provides reminds me of a metallic eyeshadow, great for the lids but not suitable for the cheeks or the rest of the face. In terms of wear, the formulation is just okay. It's pretty smudge-proof but when it comes in contact with water, it quickly disintegrates and fades away. I suppose you can use the product as a liquid eyeshadow, but there are plenty of other liquid eyeshadows out on the market that provide a much better pigmentation and longevity.
