The Voluminous Lash Paradise Mascara from L'Oreal comes in a very pretty gold and pink tube with a sleek matte metallic finish. The wand is a bristle brush with an hourglass shape, skinny in the middle and fatter on the ends while its size is slightly larger than the standard. I usually like a tapered end on my brush for catching those smaller lashes but this one worked just fine, nothing too special but it's not clumsy or unwieldy.

Formulation:
Promising an elegant lengthening effect and some soft volume, the L'Oreal Voluminous Lash Paradise Mascara is surprisingly impressive! I say "surprisingly" because Western market mascaras rarely work for my small, straight Asian lashes so my expectations are always held pretty low. Therefore, I'm glad to report that the Lash Paradise works as promised. The formulation is not too thin and not too thick; it applies smoothly and provides noticeable length and definition. The formulation also did a great job at holding my curls. I have on below the shade "
Washable Black" and the mascara is also available in "Washable Blackest Black", "Washable Black Brown", and "Waterproof Blackest Black".

In terms of wear, Lash Paradise falls a bit short. The non-waterproof formulation is definitely prone to smudging, which is nothing out of the ordinary but still undesirable nevertheless. Overall, however, I definitely recommend this for anyone looking for an all-in-one affordable drugstore mascara.
