For Spring and Summer 2017,
Too Faced is adding six brand new shades to its beloved
Melted Matte Liquified Matte Long Wear Lipstick ($25 CAD) collection. Boasting a deep hunter green and a handful of modern nudes, the range certainly has a lot to offer. To see some swatches and read my review, click......
Packaging:
Housed in a clear hard plastic lip gloss tube with a widened base, the Melted Matte liquid lipsticks have a standard doe-foot applicator. The body of the tube features some really fancy raised embossings, giving the overall packaging an extra luxurious touch.
Formulation:
With a creamy liquid formulation, the Too Faced Melted Mattes are a liquid lipstick that sets to a completely matte and transfer-proof finish. The formulation is very pigmented so just a quick swipe will give you a full, opaque coverage that lasts the whole day (provided that you hold back on heavy eating and greasy foods). The product will definitely leave the lips a bit dry so it's important to moisturize the night before. The new color additions provide quite a few unique shades, to see a breakdown of each, read on below.
Wicked: A gorgeous hunter green, Wicked is surprisingly rich and pigmented with a great coverage.
Holy Chic!: This is a very pale peach nude. I found the coverage to be a tad streaky and sheer.
Jawbreaker: A super bright orchid pink, this shade is decently pigmented.
Granny Panties: A unique gray with a slight hint of mauve, Granny Panties is very smooth and pigmented.
Suck It: This is a pretty marsala brown that unfortunately appears a lot darker in person. Nevertheless, the color is rich and opaque.
Wine Not?: A vampy deep plum, Wine Not? is nice and pigmented. There's a tiny bit of sheerness but it's easily buildable to a fully opaque finish.
