YEHWADAM Heaven Grade Ginseng Regenerating Emulsion & Toner

THE FACE SHOP YEHWADAM Heaven Grade Ginseng Regenerating Toner ($62 CAD):
With 5% oil and infused with heaven grade ginseng, pine mushroom extract, and yeast-derived adenosine, this is a viscous toner that almost takes on the texture of an essence or serum. The formulation has a slippery and silky texture; it absorbs quickly and feels super hydrating on the skin. The product is housed in a very heavyweight and fancy glass bottle equipped with a pump dispenser. You can easily spread this using your hands or you can use a cotton pad to apply. Lastly, the toner has a very light ginseng fragrance, which is shared by the rest of the collection.

Korean skin rituals are notoriously elaborate so pardon my ignorance when I admit that I honestly don't know the difference between an essence, a serum, and an emulsion. Upon some researching, however, emulsions in Korean skin care are basically a light moisturizer, which is exactly how I would describe this product. With a lightweight cream texture that dispenses from a pump spout, the YEHWADAM Heaven Grade Ginseng Regenerating Emulsion is made with shea butter, macadamia nut oil, and lecithin (a phospholipid emollient). The product absorbs quickly and it leaves behind a natural finish. So if you are looking for a light daytime moisturizer, the emulsion is the way to go.

YEHWADAM Heaven Grade Ginseng Regenerating Cream & Eye Cream

THE FACE SHOP YEHWADAM Heaven Grade Ginseng Regenerating Cream ($80 CAD):
A rich anti-aging cream made with algae extract, shea, and macadamia oil, the Regenerating Cream is quite thick but easily spreadable. The cream is nourishing and hydrating but it does have a bit of an oily finish so I would recommend it only for the night time. When I wake up in the morning, my skin looks and feels at its optimal state, completely rejuvenated, softened, and plumped.

THE FACE SHOP YEHWADAM Heaven Grade Ginseng Regenerating Eye Cream ($82 CAD):
With a very thick texture, the Regenerating Eye Cream is also made with shea butter (along with a plethora of other skin-loving ingredients like cocoa extract and fermented soybean extract). The eye cream is instantly moisturizing and because of the thicker texture, I find that it is less likely to get into my eyes, which sometimes happens with lighter eye creams. Similar to the Regenerating Cream, this eye cream is nourishing to the max, so if you want a rich nighttime eye cream, this is your pick! Also, can we just take a second and ogle at the seriously fancy packaging here?

Overall, I'm very impressed with this line! Although everything is deeply nourishing and hydrating, nothing felt super heavy or greasy. I wouldn't use the creams for the daytime but both the toner and the emulsion are great for any time of the day!
