There's a new hair care brand on the market and it's called Maui Moisture! Inspired by the islands of Hawaii, the collection is hand-crafted, vegan, and packaged in eco-friendly materials. Instead of using deionized water as the base ingredient, every product in the Maui Moisture range is made with aloe vera juice (it's the first ingredient) and coconut water that condition and moisturize. I've been testing out the Nourish & Moisture Coconut Milk Collection and Strength & Anti-Breakage Agave Collection and today I want to share with my reviews. To read on, click......
Maui Moisture Strength & Anti-Breakage Agave Collection ($10.99 CAD each):
Infused with agave, hibiscus, pineapple oil, and coconut oil, the items in this collection are designed to increase hair strength and elasticity. The range has a shampoo, a conditioner, and a hair mask, all of which have a really nice tropical scent that reminds me of a yummy pina colada. The shampoo is smoothing and lightweight while the conditioner leaves my hair super silky and moisturized. The hair mask, on the other hand, is super rich and thick, thanks to the added shea butter. It provides a bit of extra nourishment but the conditioner alone is already very effective.
Maui Moisture Nourish & Moisture Coconut Milk Collection ($10.99 CAD each):
Made with coconut milk, guava oil, and mango butter, the Nourish & Moisture Coconut Milk Collection includes a shampoo, condition, and hair oil mist. Everything has a creamy, yummy coconut milk fragrance and they work just as effectively as the Agave collection to gently cleanse and moisturize. The only item I didn't really like is the Weightless Oil Mist. The formulation is very greasy so if you aren't careful, it's easy to over-apply and end up with oily and heavy strands. Perhaps the mist will work for thick and curly hair but for anyone with thin, fine hair, the product will definitely weigh things down. With that said, I'd definitely the shampoo and the conditioner from the collection.
