For Summer 2017,
Essie is taking us on a fun day trip to the chic patisseries in Paris. With six dessert-inspired polishes, the
Summer 2017 Collection is fresh, light, and utterly scrumptious. To see some swatches and my review of each shade, click......
Blue-La-La:
This is a pastel baby blue with a nicely pigmented formulation. Unfortunately, the polish is a bit uneven and thick so you have to shake it well before use and between strokes to attain a smooth coverage. I used two to three coats for the swatches below. Also, this color feels super overdone... I mean, how many pastel baby blues do we need?

Baguette Me Not:
A soft lilac cream, Baguette is smooth and pigmented. I used two coats for the swatches below.

Eclair My Love:
A bright and rich coral pink, Eclair My Love is pigmented and rich. One coat alone is already pretty opaque but I used two coats just in case.

Sweet Souffle:
This is an interesting pearly white with a subtle opalescent sheen. The formulation is pretty sheer, slightly runny, and uneven. Therefore, I needed three coats for the swatches below but there was still some uneven patches.

S'il Vous Play:
This is a unique lilac metallic shimmer. The formulation is pretty sheer and very runny, so the polish kept on pooling around the cuticles. With that said, two coats were enough to provide a nice and opaque finish.

Fondant of You:
Semi-sheer but nice and even, Fondant of You is a juicy apricot with pretty golden shimmer. I used two coats for the swatches below.
