The Stila Matte 'n Metal Eyeshadow Palette comes in a sleek pale gold palette. The lid bears a shiny checkered pattern and the inside holds a large mirror. There is a total of 12 shades in the palette and each weighs in at 1g.
Formulation:
In the Matte 'n Metal Eyeshadow Palette, you get six matte shades and six shimmer/metallics. I haven't had a lot of experience with Stila eyeshadows before but I am pretty impressed with the quality here. All six mattes have a soft and creamy texture while providing a decent amount of pigmentation. The shimmers have an even creamier formulation and the pigmentation is top-notch. I also really like the overall color scheme; you get your everyday neutrals but you also get a few stunning yet sophisticated bold metallics. See below for a breakdown of all 12 shades.
Vintage: Pale cool-tone creamy matte pink. The coverage is sheer but smooth.
Velvet: Sheer matte baby pink.
Feathered: Creamy light beige with a soft and sheer formulation.
Fringe: Mauve beige with a semi-sheer but even coverage.
Suede: Dark mauve nude with a nice and pigmented formulation.
Velour: Warm matte bronze with a very pigmented and even coverage.
Bohemian: Semi-sheer light taupe silver.
Retro: Light rosy copper; this is a very rich and pigmented color.
Sequin: Soft and creamy gold shimmer.
Smolder: Dark gray packed with gunmetal glitters. The formulation is a bit fallout-prone.
Sizzle: Metallic burnt brown with a very intense and buttery formulation.
Flare: Super rich and pigmented warm metallic brown.
