Beautycounter+ No. 3 Balancing Facial Mask ($55 CAD):
I love my clay masks and this kaolin and charcoal-based mask is fantastic! Infused with apple extract, green tea powder, olive leaf powder, ginger root powder, and salicylic acid, the mask has a super smooth and rich texture upon application. Once spread on the face, it sets very quickly. Within just five or so minutes, my whole face dried down completely.
With a washcloth and some warm water, the dried mask washed off very easily, revealing a completely cleansed and refreshed complexion. The mask is slightly drying so be sure to follow up immediately with your usual skincare routine. If you have oily or combination skin, this mask is an amazing treat because it does a great job at removing pesky impurities and excess sebum.
Beautycounter+ No. 3 Balancing Facial Mist ($43 CAD):
Infused with apple extract, dog-rose extract, coconut water, rosemary oil, and peppermint oil, the No. 3 Balancing Facial Mist is completely alcohol-free (yay). Also added is a dash of charcoal powder and kaolin clay for a mattifying effect. The bottle is equipped with the most amazing fine-spray nozzle so the mist that comes out is almost vapor-like (seriously, I am not exaggerating).
I've never used a facial mist made with charcoal and kaolin before so I was afraid that the product might leave behind an undesirable residue. However, the mist is hydrating yet non-greasy, providing a nice and cooling sensation while leaving behind no noticeable texture. Lastly, the mist has a lovely essential oil fragrance; it's calming and refreshing but not too strong or medicinal.
Beautycounter+ No.3 Balancing Facial Oil ($79 CAD):
This is a lightweight face oil made with the oils of grape seed, rose hip, marula, argan, meadowfoam, sea buckthorn, rose, orange, grapefruit, ylang-ylang, chamomile, and nothing else. As you may know, I have combination skin and face oils honestly aren't my thing. However, after trying this product for a few days, I've actually been really loving it! A little goes a long way and the product absorbs surprisingly well (as long as you stick with just a few drops). I would never use this for the day time but when I use it alone or with a moisturizer before bed, it leaves my skin super soft and nourished in the morning. If you are a fan of face oils, this is definitely a quality option!
