One of the original Youtube beauty gurus, itsjudytime has teamed up with Pixi Beauty to release two Get The Look Palettes ($24 USD each) filled with neutral lip and eye colors. Designed for simple and quick everyday looks, the colors in these palettes can be mixed and blended to create customizable shades that best complements your style. Packaging:
The Get The Look palettes come in a large plastic compact with a clear see-through lid. Also included is a reflective adhesive plastic "mirror" that you can stick to the back of the palette so you can apply the products on-the-go. The packaging quality is a bit lackluster but given the $24 USD price point, I am not too bothered.
Pixi + itsjudytime | ItsEyeTime Get The Look Palette ($24 USD):
With 12 eyeshadows weighing at 1.2 grams each, this is a neutral eyeshadow palette with a warm color scheme. You get six mattes and six shimmers. Formulation-wise, the palette is a bit of a mixed-bag so see below for a breakdown of all 12 shades. Overall I think this is just an okay palette. All the shimmers are pretty good but the mattes are mostly sheer and patchy. If you are looking for a well-made and affordable nude palette, I would recommend checking out the New York Color Lovatics palette, which offers up a much more consistent formulation and an even better value.
Snowflake: A soft beige champagne shimmer, Snowflake is slightly sheer but creamy.
Bubbly: This is a soft champagne gold shimmer with a nice and smooth texture.
itsmommyslife: A light soft bronze, this shade has a creamy texture but the coverage is powdery and sheer.
Good Morning: Albeit sheer, this is a very smooth and nice soft brick peach.
Brick: One of my favorite shades out of the palette, Brick is a warm burnt peach shimmer that's pigmented and smooth.
Honey Bear: This is a warm matte light brown with a smooth and creamy coverage.
Night Night: Appearing as a soft black with a sprinkle of silver sparkles, Night Night is disappointingly patchy and sheer. Additionally, the sparkles don't really show up either.
Tutu: This is a warm brick brown. The formulation is very sheer.
Getaway: This is a rich coppery bronze shimmer with a creamy and pigmented formulation.
Ping: A deep and dark brown shimmer, Ping is very smooth and pigmented.
Dark Chocolate: This is a dark chocolate brown. The formulation is disappointingly sheer and patchy.
Aww Snap: A medium matte brown, Snap is also quite sheer and patchy.
Pixi + itsjudytime | ItsLipTime Get The Look Palette ($24 USD):
Lip palettes aren't my cup of tea due to their inconvenient packaging so I am naturally put off by the idea of a 12-shade lip palette consisting of mostly neutral shades (with a couple of almost identical colors). Formulation-wise, most of the shades are on the sheerer side so you will be doing lots of layering and building. However, these are nice and lightweight lipsticks, so you aren't dealing with any sticky or glossy textures.
Ta-da: This is a sheer nude cream. I don't think this one is pigmented enough to be worn on its own so it probably works best mixed with another shade.
Peaches: This is a semi-sheer peach nude.
Julianna Bear: This is a soft peachy pink nude. The formulation is also on the sheer side.
Milk Chocolate: A soft brown-beige, Milk Chocolate is very sheer.
Kiera Bear: This is a soft peach-rose that's very similar to Julianna Bear. The formulation is slightly more pigmented as compared to the previous shades.
Miya Bear: This is a nice rosy-brown with a semi-sheer formulation.
B Did It: This is a sheer light pink. Again, this is a shade that probably works best when blended with another color.
Falling Leaves: A warm autumn brick brown, Falling Leaves is quite sheer.
Chewy: Perhaps the sheerest shade out of the bunch, Chew is a peachy pink that's quite similar to a couple of the previous shades.
Fierce: This is a medium berry pink. The color was definitely sheerer and patchier than I would have expected.
Sweet Cherry: This is a classic bright red; the pigmentation is superb!
Sultry: Perhaps my favorite shade out of the palette, Sultry is a rich wine red. The formulation is nice and pigmented.
