If you are a fan of Guerlain then you'd be happy to know that for Spring 2017, the brand is adding yet another limited edition Meteorites Pearls to its collection. Inspired by a youthful pearly glow, the
Guerlain Meteorites Happy Glow Pearls ($89 CAD) combines multicolor illuminating pearls to create a "natural rosy glow of the complexion". To see some swatches and close-ups of this beautiful powder, click......
Packaging:
Guerlain Meteorites Pearls are usually housed in a metal tin but this special limited edition is packaged in a spherical plastic case. The outside has a subtle pearlescent sheen and the underside of the lid holds a mirror, which is quite unusual for the Guerlain Meteorites Pearls. You get a total of 30g of powder pearls and also included is a fluffy powder puff. The puff this time has more of a furry texture as opposed to a flocked sponge finish. I find that it doesn't pick up a lot of powder but it's not a huge problem since I use a standard brush to apply anyways.
Formulation:
It's almost impossible to capture good swatches of the Guerlain Meteorites because it is a translucent finishing powder with barely any pigmentation. However, I will try my best to describe the effect of these Meteorites Happy Glow Pearls. With four different shades (light rose, soft lavender, beige-champagne, and sparkling baby pink), this version of the Meteorites Pearls has a very brightening effect. All the pearls blend together to form a sheer cool-tone lavender.
There are tiny bits of sparkles but they are hardly noticeable unless you are standing under bright sunlight. The powder is finely-milled and there's definitely no chalky texture or chunky glitters. The powder also has a soft blurring effect, helping to refine any skin imperfections. Overall, this Meteorites Pearls is made for those that want a brightening effect. Because the color is on the cooler side, it is more suitable for those with light skin and neutral to cool undertones.
Guerlain Meteorites Powder Brush ($51 CAD):
Designed to be used with the Meteorites Powder, this is an exquisite powder brush made with goat hair. Despite its short little handle, the bristles are very full and fluffy. The pink ombre design pairs beautifully with the scallop-patterned ferrule. For an added touch of luxury, Guerlain also included a washable storage pouch. The brush is definitely pricey but it's honestly the most perfect powder brush that you can pair with your Meteorites Pearls.

Guerlain is available in stores and online at The Bay,
Sephora, Nordstrom, and Holt Renfrew.
