Packaging:
The Givenchy Rouge Interdit is housed in a luxurious lacquered black case. The cap and the inside are adorned with an intricate ribbon design that's both elegant and glamorous. The actual lipstick is etched with the Givenchy logo and the base of the tube is attached to a small loop of ribbon that functions as a handle.
Formulation:
Infused with black rose oil, the revamped Givenchy Rouge Interdit Satin Lipsticks have slick and lightweight formulation. Although nicely pigmented, these have more of a medium, semi-translucent coverage so if you are expecting a rich creamy color, you may be a bit disappointed. The lipsticks feel amazing on the lips and they have a very natural and alluring sheen with a soft floral scent. A couple of the shades felt a little "thin" on the lips so I wouldn't recommend this formulation for those concerned about fine lines and dry patches because the lipsticks don't provide much cushioning. Lastly, the wear is pretty good. These certainly aren't transfer- or smudge-proof but I didn't experience much bleeding or feathering so that is a big plus.
12 Rouge Insomnie: One of my favorites out of the five, this is a rich pinkish red. The pigmentation is fantastic and I like that the shade is unique.
13 Rouge Interdit: A bright true red, Rouge Interdit is a loud and daring color. The formulation is not as opaque as "12 Rouge Insomnie" but it is still pretty pigmented.
8 Framboise Obscur: This is a sophisticated rose-mauve with a beautiful formulation. Out of five shades, the coverage and texture of this one felt the most even and rich.
23 Fuchsia In-The-Know: A fabulous hot berry pink, this shade is very bold but the formulation felt a bit patchy during application. I had to apply many swipes to obtain an even coverage.
22 Infrarose: Despite appearing like a hot neon pink in the tube, this shade ended up a lot lighter than it seemed. The formulation is definitely the sheerest out of the bunch so unless you love the color, I wouldn't recommend it over the other shades.
