For Spring 2017, Clinique is putting a new spin on its beloved Chubby Stick collection with a collaboration with Crayola! Bearing the signature Crayola design, the limited edition Clinique Crayola Moisturizing Lip Colour Balm ($21 CAD) definitely adds a splash of color and fun to your makeup collection! To read my review and see some swatches of a few shades, click......
Packaging:
The Clinique Crayola Chubby Stick comes in a twist-up and retractable lip crayon tube. The design isn't too different from the original Chubby Stick packaging, except for the iconic Crayola squiggly lines printed around the base and the tip. The actual balm is sharpened to a slight point but it quickly smooths out to a flattened tip.
Formulation:
Packed with shea and mango butter, the Clinique Crayola Chubby Sticks are formulated much like the original Clinique Chubby Sticks. With a slight tint of color, the balm is very lightweight and hydrating. The texture is non-sticky and comfortable but the wear is a bit lackluster. If you are looking for an easy-to-wear tinted balm that provides moisture and just a hint of color, then these are a great pick! Plus, can you find a cuter packaging? The range is available in ten shades and below I have a breakdown of three of them.
Pink Sherbert: This is a pale pink cream. The formulation is very sheer but it will give the lips a slightly milky appearance.
Wild Strawberry: A very juicy and fresh soft red, Wild Strawberry looks pretty pigmented in the tube but on the lips it gives a very natural pinkish red tint.
Mauvelous: Perhaps the most pigmented out of the three, Mauvelous is a sophisticated rose with just a hint of shimmers. The color is very buildable so you can actually get a pretty good color payoff.
Availability:
Clinique is available online and in stores at Sephora, The Bay, Shoppers, and Sears.
