It's been a long, long time since I attempted nail art of any kind but when I laid my eyes on these beautiful
MoYou London Hand Tattoos ($8.45 CAD each), I knew I had to create some sort of nail art with them. Designed to be worn on the hands for a unique and trendy manicure, these Hand Tattoos are available in a handful of exquisite designs. To see the look I created with these, click......
Available in various themes and patterns, the MoYou London Hand Tattoos are essentially mini temporary tattoos designed to be applied on the hands. To use, simply cut out the design you want to use and peel off the clear covering. Next, press the design face down onto the area to be applied and wet the backing of the tattoo. Press firmly for a few seconds and the backing should slide off easily, leaving behind the perfect little mini tattoo.
All the tattoos are intricately designed and the quality is amazing as well. A few are even metallic, which makes for a very dazzling display. At first I was just going to use these on my fingers but I thought I'd actually try them on my nails as nail tattoos. I created this "under the sea" look using Sailor Collection. The designs worked pretty well on the nails but they did crack and smudge a bit when I topped them with my Essie matte top coat. However, since these are designed for the skin, it's understandable that they didn't perform as well on the nails. Ironically, though, the cracked and slightly imperfect result ended up looking quite vintage and pretty.
All in all, I really love these. They are quite pricey at $8.45 CAD per sheet but they are fun for special occasions. I also tried them on my face for my Shu Uemura Holiday Collection look, which you can check out
here.
