Housed in a rather thick two-layered square compact, the Moons of Saturn Full Face Kit comes in the same packaging as the All the Right Angles Contour Palette MAC put out last spring. The upper tray holds two shades of MAC's Cream Color Base and it slides out to reveal the bottom tray, which holds the Sculpting Powder.
Formulation:
For the two Cream Color Bases, you get a very subtle peach champagne shimmer called "Gypsum" and a lovely bright coral called "Rhea". The highlighting shade provides a subtle dewy glow while the coral blends out to be a very lovely blush. Their formulation is lightweight and easy to blend and while "Rhea" is super pigmented, "Gypsum" has more of a glossy sheen as opposed to actual pigments or shimmers.
The included Sculpting Powder is in a shade called "Natural Sandstone". It is a matte warm bronze that's silky and decently pigmented. I think the shade is a bit too warm to use as a contour but it definitely makes for a great bronzer. Overall this is nice palette if you like cream products as two out of the three shades have a cream formulation. The cream highlighter is a bit too sheer in my opinion but everything else is very well formulated.
