The Lipstick Queen Hello Sailor Lipstick is packaged in an all-blue aluminum casing with a very sleek matte finish. I love the monochromatic design and the adorable graphics on the cardboard box.

Formulation:
Hello Sailor appears to be a deep smoky blue in the tube but when swatched on the lips it is actually a very, very sheer blue. When applied over bare lips, Hello Sailor provides a very light blue tint. I personally quite enjoy lightly tinted lipsticks (ex.
Dior Lip Glow) but I find the blue of Hello Sailor to be a bit unflattering. Although the pigmentation is super sheer, it still looks blue. With that said, I can see this working as a lipstick topper. If you are rocking a bright bold pink, Hello Sailor can add an extra dash of dimension and color. In terms of formulation, this sheer blue is very smooth and lightweight. However, the slick formulation doesn't wear very long and will wear off pretty quickly, much like a light lip balm.
