Clarins Stylo 4 Couleurs All-in-One Pen: Review and Swatches
I love using my four-colored BIC ballpoint pen so when I saw that Clarins is releasing a 4-Color All-in-One Makeup Pen ($44 CAD) designed just like your multi-colored writing pens, I was pretty excited! Featuring three eyeliners and one lip liner all rolled up in a compact plastic pen, this travel-friendly, multi-purpose product is sure to garner some attention come its February release. So to see some swatches and read my review, click......

Packaging:
The Clarins 4-Color All-in-One Pen comes in a plastic casing not much different from your everyday multi-colored ballpoint pen. On one end you have a small opening where the lead comes out and on the other you have four press-down buttons that correspond to the four different liners included. You get three eyeliners and one lip liner, all at 0.1g each.

When a lead is pushed out, it is actually protected with a clear casing so you need to twist the body of the pen to dispense the liner. The packaging is easy to use, sturdy, and very travel-friendly. Although I do like the all-in-one concept, I find that the pen looks more like an office stationery as opposed to an elegant piece of makeup product.

Formulation:
So despite not loving the unstylish design of this pen, I was expecting the liners to at least be practical and well-formulated. Unfortunately, all four colors were very disappointing. You get one nude lip liner and three eyeliners in blue, brown, and black. All four shades are pigmented and creamy; they apply nicely and blend easily. However, where the formulation falls apart is that they are not at all smudge-proof. Even after giving them plenty of time to set, the colors smudged and transferred whenever I gently rubbed my finger across them. So all in all, this product is a miss for me. The idea is certainly innovative and the packaging is actually well-executed. However, the formulation needs work as no one wants a liner that smudges.
