Packaging:
This Too Faced x Kat Von D lip and cheek set comes with five items: one makeup bag, two mini-sized lip products from Kat Von D, and two mini-sized cheek products from Too Faced. The heart-shaped makeup bag has two distinct designs on each side. The glittery pink side is printed with Too Faced co-creator Jerrod's adorable chihuahua Clover and the matte black side is printed with a bad-ass sphinx cat owned by Kat Von D. I think the design of the bag is absoluetly genius! The shape of it is not all that practical but this is definitely a collector's item.
Too Faced Candlelight Glow Highlighting Powder Duo in "Rosy Glow" (2.5g):
A classic from Too Faced, the Candlelight Glow in Rosy Glow is a dual-shade highlighter with a pale gold pearl and a soft pink champagne. The formulation is amazing; both shades are pigmented, buttery, and super smooth. You can really build them up for a super glow or just dust them on the cheeks for a subtle sheen.
Too Faced Love Flush Long-Lasting 16-Hour Blush in "So Happy Together" (2g):
A shimmery soft magenta, So Happy Together is a brand new shade made just for this set. The formulation is semi-sheer but super smooth and even. The pink even has a nice sheen so it pretty much has a built-in highlighting effect. I'd love to see more shade variations of this particualr formulation added to the permenant collection!
Kat Von D Studded Kiss Lipstick in "Muse" (1.2g):
A new and exclusive shade Kat Von D made for this collab, Muse is a warm peachy rose packed full of micro-shimmers. The pigmentation is very good and the finish is matte. I found the color a little too warm on me and the wear a tad drying but I'm overall impressed with the formulation.
Kat Von D Everlasting Liquid Lipstick in "XO" (3ml):
I love a good berry red and XO is just the the most beautiful shade for this time of the year. Another new and exclusive shade just for this set, XO is a liquid lipstick with a really nice and smooth formulation. With that said, this particular shade is a bit tricky to work with. The pigmentation is good but the coverage is patchy and I found that no matter how many coats I applied, there were still areas of uneveness. With a thin and even layer, however, you
can get it to look pretty good. The Everlasting Liquid Lipsticks have a transfer-proof and long-lasting wear and this one is no different. You can pretty much get a full-day wear as long as you aren't eating a ton of greasy food- but hey, if you do, you can always reapply!
