Inspired by the endless beauty of planet earth, the
NARS Spring 2017 Wildfire Collection is full of burnt reds, sky blues, and rich berries. Vancouver has seen nothing but snow and slush lately so I'm very happy to bring some color to you on the blog today. To see my swatches and review of these products from the new collection, click.......
NARS Eyeshadow Duo in "Chiang Mai" ($43 CAD):
Named after the beautiful city in Thailand, this eyeshadow duo is housed in a classic matte black NARS compact. Included are a shimmery light blue and a shimmery light chestnut brown. Both shades have a really smooth and creamy texture; the brown is nicely pigmented and although the blue is too sheer, I would have liked a more intense pigmentation. As you see in the swatches below, the blue is slightly patchy (but buildable).
NARS Velvet Shadow Stick in "Belle-Île" & "Usbek" ($35 CAD):
With a twist-up crayon packaging, the Velvet Shadow Sticks feature a very creamy and smooth formulation. "Belle-Île" is a warm coppery gold shimmer and "Usbek" is a deep eggplant purple satin. The gold is a little sheerer compared to the purple but both blend very nicely. Once the shadows set, they become waterproof and provide a long-lasting wear!
