It was a bit tricky curating a nail polish favorites for 2016 since I swatched over 259 shades this year. With that said, there were still a handful that easily stood out, so I will be sharing them with you today. To check out what made the list, click......
1. Chanel Le Vernis Nail Gloss in "530 Radical Rouge": Translucent polishes tend to be messy, gloopy, and patchy so the utter smooth creaminess of this bright cherry tomato red made me so happy!
2. CND Craft Culture Collection Nail Color in "Hand Fired": CND makes some very unique nail polishes and this one is truly eye-catching! The formulation is also very good as well!
3. Chanel Le Vernis in "534 Espadrilles": What can I say, 2016 was the year of bright reds! This one is so pigmented and creamy!
4. Formula X Cupcakes and Cashmere Nail Color in "Haute Sauce": Now I thought it may be a bit silly to include another bright red that looks almost identical to 530 Radical Rouge but what the heck, this is my favorites list so I will include the polishes I truly loved the most this year! Haute Sauce is translucent but amazingly pigmented at the same time. You can actually just apply one coat because the formulation is that good!
5. Formula X Ashley Graham Nail Color in "Beauty Beyond Size": I love Ashley Graham's body-positive attitude so I was super excited for her Formula X collaboration. This shade is bold, sassy, and all kinds of gorgeous!
6. Formula X Patrick Starrr Nail Color in "Lucky Starrr": Formula X makes great full-coverage glitters and this shade has fine flecks of orange, pink, and iridescent shimmers!
7. Formula X Huda Beauty Nail Color in "Baroque Babe": Similar to Lucky Starrr, this is a stunning light pink shimmer packed with flecks of gold and pink shimmers.
8. L'Oreal Exclusive Pink Nail Polish in "Liya Pink": A simple warm bright pink, Liya Pink is my kind of summer polish!
9. L'Oreal Vernis L'Huile Nail Polish in "224 Rose Ballet": From a hugely underrated collection released by L'Oreal, Rose Ballet is the perfect office-friendly rose nude. The formulation is so pigmented and smooth; the polish is even scented with a soft fragrance!
10. Sally Hansen Color Therapy Nail Polish in "Slicks and Stones": Hands down the most unexpected gem of 2016, Slicks and Stones is a gorgeous deep purple sprinkled with micro iridescent flakies.
11. CND Craft Culture Collection Nail Color in "Fern Flannel": A sophisticated shimmery blue-gray, Fern Flannel is so rich and pigmented.
12. Essie Spring 2016 Nail Polish in "Pool Side Service": Surprisingly, Essie didn't wow me this year like it usually does but this particular smoky teal cream is a stunner!
13. CND Starstruck Collection Nail Color in "Emerald Lights": CND ended the year big with this jaw-dropping emerald teal full-coverage glitter! I mean how can you not love this one?
14. Formula X Ballet Beautiful Nail Color in "Ballet Barre": I love me a good metallic silver and Ballet Barre is by far the best I've tried. One coat is all you need for a completely opaque and streak-free coverage! It does not get better than this!
