Lise Watier Palette Arabesque 5-Color Eyeshadow in "Isadora" |
Lise Watier Arabesque 5-Color Eyeshadow Palette in "Isadora" ($42 CAD):
Named presumably after the iconic dancer Isadora Duncan, this neutral palette is housed in a simple but sturdy plastic compact. Everything is white except for the lid, which is embossed with a glittery and reflective snowflake/floral design. Inside is a large mirror and the palette comes with two dual-ended sponge tip applicators. All five shadows (1.9g each) are pressed with a design that reflects the ornate and festive spirit of the collection.

Lise Watier Palette Arabesque 5-Color Eyeshadow in "Isadora" |
In this palette, you get an opalescent white shimmer, a soft warm gold shimmer, a glittery soft peachy pink, a satin/metallic soft taupe brown, and a dark satin taupe. All five shades are unbelievably creamy and buttery and the pigmentation is very good with the exception of the gold, which I expected to be a lot more intense. It's not patchy by any means but it's just a bit sheer. All in all, Lise Watier does it again! I've said this many a time in my past reviews but I'll just say it again: Lise Watier is literally one of the most underrated brands. Their shadow formulation is honestly one of the best (if not the best) I've ever used and this palette is another fine example of that.

Lise Watier Palette Trio Arabesque Illuminating Powders | Face & Corsage Brush (sold separately) |
Lise Watier Trio Arabesque Illuminating Powders ($45 CAD):
Next up is a highlighter trio housed in the exact same compact as the eyeshadow palette. You get a pearly soft champagne, a peachy gold shimmer, and a soft rosy gold shimmer. Again, all three shades are amazingly buttery and rich. The pigmentation is very good as well and the shimmers in these are super fine. On the cheeks they do not appear gritty or chunky; the powders provide a fine sheen that gives a "glow from within" look. If you like highlighters you need to get this palette! For three beautiful shades totaling six grams, the value is superb!

Lise Watier Gelée Soufflée Lumière ($29 CAD):
Hands down the most interesting item out of the collection, the Gelée Soufflée Lumière is a "jelly illuminator" that can be used on the face or the body. The product is housed in a hefty glass jar with an ornately decorated gold cap covered with a clear plastic dome. As the name suggests, the Gelée Soufflée Lumière has a whipped souffle texture that's water based. So upon application it feels quite wet and refreshing. The formulation is packed with very fine gold shimmers but because the souffle is easily blendable, the coverage can be adjusted from a heavy shimmer to a subtle sparkle.

Lise Watier Gelee Soufflee Lumiere Face & Body |
Below is an unblended swatch of the product; once blended, the product will be a textureless dusting of shimmers that cling very well to the skin. The wear is not waterproof but it's pretty long-lasting. The Gelée Soufflée Lumière is great for the decolletage or the shoulders but it may be a bit more challenging to use on the face. Because the formulation is quite wet, it may disturb any layers of foundation, powder, or blush underneath. I would recommend using very little when applying on the cheeks or use a foundation brush to lightly dab on the souffle.
