For Fall 2016, KORRES has a new anti-aging trio formulated with extracts of Arcadian chestnut leaf. Available in a day and night cream along with a light eye cream, the Castanea Arcadia Collection has been treating my skin very well with its regenerative and protective properties. So today I want to share with you my thoughts on the formulation. To read on, click......
KORRES Castanea Arcadia Wrinkle Rewind Day Cream ($65 CAD) & Night Cream ($80 CAD):
Formulated with extracts of Castanea Arcadia (otherwise known as the chestnut tree) and an anti-inflammatory compound called lupeol, the Wrinkle Rewind day and night creams (40ml each) also contain sodium hyaluronate, honeysuckle extract, and black oak extract. The day cream is made of various oils so it has a very light texture while the night cream is much thicker from the shea and jojoba butter. The night cream is very nourishing and I love how it makes my skin feel super soft and supple in the morning. I like the day cream as well but since I have pretty oily skin, the texture is a tad heavy. The only critique I have for the night cream is that depending on the formulation of the toner I use that day, it needs a lot of rubbing to absorb. It's not a huge deal but I do wish that it's more fast-absorbing.

With a very light and creamy texture, the Castanea Arcadia Wrinkle Rewind Eye Cream dispenses from a small pump bottle (15ml). The formulation absorbs really well and it keeps the eye area hydrated and conditioned. The product is formulated with the same chestnut extract and lupeol compound, in addition to shea butter and oat extract.
