CND Holiday 2016 Creative Play Celebration Collection: Review and Swatches

Earlier this year CND released the Creative Play range that's all about fun and trendy nail colors. For Holiday 2016, CND Creative Play has eight brand new colors as part of the Celebration Collection. Happy Holly Day:
This is a simple medium green cream with a nicely pigmented formulation. The polish is a tad thick so be sure to shake it well. This is my first time trying CND Creative Play polishes and I have noticed that the polishes do not have any metal mixing balls inside the bottle (as far as I can see). With a cream like this it was no problem but with the thicker shades it was definitely frustrating not being able to properly mix the polish.

Naughty or Vice:
A deep eggplant purple, Naughty or Vice is decently pigmented and easy to apply. I used two coats for the swatches below.

Foiled Again:
A beautiful and bright sunny gold shimmer packed with metallic flecks, Foiled Again is a lovely polish to work with. The formulation is nicely pigmented so I only needed two coats for the swatches below.

Revelry Red:
This is a translucent red jelly scattered with tiny hexagon glitters and small bits of shimmers. The formulation is excellent despite being a jelly. The polish applied evenly so I only needed two coats for the swatches below. I applaud CND for creating such a unique color. If I didn't know better, I would have taken "Revelry Red" for an indie creation!

RSVPlum:
A pretty soft purple shimmer, RSVPlum is packed full of metallic particles. For the swatches you see below I only used one coat! I usually go in with a second coat just in case but with this shade it was not at all necessary. Aside from being completely full-coverage, the polish is smooth and easy to apply.

Turquoise Tidings:
A stunning jelly sandwich made of a light blue translucent base packed with various blue glitters and larger iridescent flakies, Turquoise Tidings is sadly very difficult to work with. The polish is too thick and the flakies are simply too large. The gloopy consistency made it difficult to apply an even coating so the drying time is noticeably extended.

Extravaglint:
A copper and gold bar glitter dispersed in a clear base, Extravaglint is a very festive glitter topper. Unfortunately, the glitter dispersion is a bit sparse so I needed two coats to get an even coverage. I don't mind the extra work but the result takes much longer to dry.

Stellarbration:

Another fun glitter topper, Stellarbration is packed with various iridescent flecks, silver hexagon glitters, and large shiny silver stars. The formulation provides a pretty even coverage but the star glitters are quite sparse, making it difficult to get at least one on each nail. I personally would have gone without the stars as they like to drag and shift around during application but overall this is still a very fun glitter.
