For Fall 2016, MAC is heading to the fast lanes with a limited edition color collection inspired by the bowling alley. Full of unique hues and bowling puns, the It's A Strike Collection is available starting August 18th. To see some swatches, click.........
MAC It's A Strike Eyeshadow in "300 Game" & "Bowlarama" |
Bowlarama: A very pretty lime green shimmer, Bowlarama has a nice and silky texture. The pigmentation is very good as well.
300 Game: Described as a blackened cherry, 300 Game appears as a dark burgundy in the pan. Unfortunately, this shadow is super chalky and dry. The swatch below was made possible by at least ten swipes of the shadow.
MAC It's A Strike | Cremesheen Glass* ($24 CAD):

MAC It's A Strike Cremesheen Glass in "Perfect Frame" |
A deep and rich wine red, "Perfect Frame" is a very pigmented lip gloss with a smooth and moisturizing formulation. I thought this particular shade is slightly thicker compared to your average Cremesheen Glass, but the finish isn't super tacky. This shade can be worn alone for an intense pop of color, but there is a bit of feathering and settling in the fine lines of the lips.
*I believe this shade has been renamed "Spare Me".
MAC It's A Strike | Lipsticks ($21 CAD):
Babes and Balls: This is a beautiful deep wine red. The formulation is very pigmented and intense and the finish is super matte. I love how fall-friendly it is and the wear is excellent as well!
Liquid Lurex: With a slightly green tint in the tube, Liquid Lurex is a glitter lipstick packed with super-fine multi-tone glitters. The glitters aren't at all gritty and although it doesn't look great on its own, it makes a great "top coat" for a darker lipstick shade (see swatches below).
MAC It's A Strike | Nail Lacquers ($15 CAD):
Baby Split: This is a pastel baby green with a surprisingly decent formulation. Pastel cream polishes tend to be super patchy and gloopy but this one is fairly easy to work with. I used two coats for the swatches below.
5 Pin: A gorgeous oxblood cream, 5 Pin is very rich and pigmented. I used two coats for the swatches below.
Rack 'Em Up: A unique khaki brown, this shade is buttery smooth and easy to apply. I used two coats for the swatches below.
