For Fall 2016, OPI has released a sophisticated polish collection in collaboration with Kerry Washington, known for her TV role in "Scandal", a political drama set in Washington. Inspired by the capital city, the OPI Washington DC Collection is full of lush and rich creams that scream fall. To see swatches and reviews of all the shades, click.......
Kerry Blossom (Limited Edition):
A deep blackened plum cream, Kerry Blossom is slightly sheer, especially given how dark it is. I used two coats for the swatches below but the coverage wasn't completely opaque.
Kerry Blossom, two coats with no top coat. |
Named after Washington's character Olivia on "Scandal", "Liv" in the Gray is a solid dark gray with a tinge of blue. The polish is very pigmented but it's not as self-leveling as I would like it to be.

Named after Washington's daughter Isabelle, this is a light brown cream. The polish is slightly sheer; I needed three coats for the swatches below.
Inside the ISABELLEtway, three coats with no top coat. |
This is a super deep brown-black. The formulation is a bit sheer but two coats give a nice coverage.
Shh... It's Top Secret!, two coats with no top coat. |
This is a milky chocolate brown cream. Again, the formulation is just a tad sheer. I had to go in for a third coat on a couple of nails to ensure a full coverage.
Squeaker of the House, two to three coats. |
A nice burnt orange, Yank My Doodle is another fairly sheer polish. I needed three coats on a few nails for an even and opaque coverage.
Yank My Doodle, two to three coats. |
Freedom of Peach:
A creamy orange, Freedom of Peach is again a slightly sheer shade. I needed three coats on a few nails and there was still some streaking.
Freedom of Peach, two to three coats. |
A creamy warm yellow, Never a Dulles Moment is yet another slightly sheer color. The formulation is smooth and easy to apply but I needed three coats for the swatches below.
Never a Dulles Moment, three coat with no top coat. |
A soft creamy nude with a hint of shimmer, Pale to the Chief is probably the most difficult shade out of the collection. The polish is sheer as expected but it was also strangely thick, making application quite a pain. This is the only shade that I needed to apply a top coat in order for it to look halfway decent.
Pale to the Chief, four coats with top coat. |
This is a deep oxblood cream. The formulation is nice and pigmented but slightly thick.
We the Female, two coats with no top coat. |
Gorgeous deep rosy red, OPI by Popular Vote is very pigmented. The polish is not super self-leveling so it could definitely use a top coat.
OPI by Popular Vote, two coats with no top coat. |
A gorgeous deep hot pink, Madam President is definitely the standout shade in this collection. The formulation is buttery and pigmented, I used two coats for the swatches below.

A deep and dusky teal, CIA=Color is Awesome is rich and pigmented; I used two coats for the swatches below.
