Packaging:
The Katy Kat Matte Lipsticks come in very pretty matte white tubes with a window at the base that gives a peek to the shade inside. "Katy Kat Matte" is embossed on the cap in a very hip font so the packaging feels super trendy and cute. The lipstick has a pointed slant tip, making application precise and easy.

Formulation:
With a very creamy formulation, the Katy Kat Matte lipstick shades I have here are all pretty pigmented. Despite their name, these lipsticks really aren't matte. Most of the shades have a noticeable sheen and a few are actually pretty shiny. The formulation has a subtle waxy old-school lipstick scent, not my favorite but it's not too pungent.

Pink Paws: This is a soft warm pink. The color is pigmented but it tends to emphasize wrinkles on the lips.
Cat Call: This is a very bright warm pink; the color is super rich and pigmented.
Perry Panther: Of course Katy Perry would have a daring black shade in her collection. This color swatches pretty opaquely on the arm but on the lips it's quite patchy and sheer.
Crimson Cat: Gorgeous true red; this shade is very pigmented and rich.
Cosmo Kitty: This is unique lavender cream; the formulation is very patchy so it's challenging to get an even coverage. Interestingly, the color tints the lips pink when it wears off.
