Packaging:
The Annabelle TwistUp lipsticks come in simple twist-up and retractable lip crayons. The design is nothing too fancy but it's easy to use. The pointed tip kind of rounds out after a few uses but you can still get a decently precise application.

Formulation:
The original
TwistUp Retractable Lipsticks have a moisturizing and creamy formulation and the new TwistUp Metallic shades are no different. With that said, the majority of these new shades are really more shimmery than metallic. The colors are semi-sheer but buildable. Read on below for individual shade descriptions.
Purple Panache: Subdued mauve with subtle shimmers. This shade is slightly sheer but the color is buildable.
Rock & Rose: Gorgeous bright fuchsia with pretty sparkles.
Heartbreaker: Natural red with red sparkles; even though this has loads of sparkles, it's not at all gritty.

Crazy Coral: Soft coral with golden shimmers.
Heavy Petal: Light pink with no noticeable shimmers. This shade is slightly patchy.
Nude of Fame: Very sheer nude packed with golden shimmers.

Overall, I love the fact that these are buildable and easy-to-wear. You can easily vary how intense to apply the shades to achieve different looks. The colors are moisturizing and lightweight as well. My favorite shades are Rock & Rose, Heartbreaker, and Purple Panache.
