The Estee Edit by Estee Lauder | Mattified Lipstick in "08 Wrapped" & "11 You're Welcome": Swatches and Review

When it comes to matte lipsticks, it's hard to find a balance between a moisturizing wear and a true matte finish. The new Mattified Lipsticks ($26 CAD) from The Estee Edit, however, promise a high-coverage matte finish that's both gentle and hydrating on the lips. Packaging:
The Mattified Lipsticks from The Estee Edit comes in a really beautiful silver and blue bullet. The cap has a spray-painted design that feels very modern and edgy but the overall packaging is still very luxurious and classy.

Formulation:
Infused with jojoba oil, the Mattified Lipsticks have a very moisturizing and lightweight texture. The pigmentation and opacity varied quite a bit between the two shades I have here. The lipsticks glide smoothly upon application and the wear is fairly good. These still smudge and transfer but they fare much better compared to the standard cream lipstick.

08 Wrapped: This is a deep burgundy cream. The formulation is quite patchy but with many layers I was able to get a fairly even coverage. This shade is definitely more creamy than matte; there is a noticeable sheen in the finish.
11 You're Welcome: A gorgeous true red, You're Welcome is very pigmented. The color applied beautiful and it has a true matte finish.
