Packaging:
The Revlon Ultimate All-In-One Mascara comes in a simple yet uniquely designed tube. The cap of the Ultimate All-In-One Mascara is red, which helps differentiate it from the other four new mascaras Revlon has recently launched.
The key feature of this product is the “Revlon Power Mini Brush™”. With a 1.5 by 0.5 by 0.5 centimeter dimension, this oval-shaped plastic wand is definitely one of the smallest I’ve seen. As someone with relatively small eyes and short lashes, I cannot express how much I appreciate the design! When I use typical mascara applicators, I almost always end up smudging a bit of the product on my lids due to the wand’s unwieldy size. However, with this applicator, I can reach all my lashes without jabbing my eyes. In fact, the wand is small enough to be used on the lower lashes. With its hollowed core, the Revlon Power Mini Brush™really loads the lashes with volume and color. I went back in with a lash comb to help prevent clumping.
Formulation:
I have here the shade “
Blackest Black” and the color is indeed very intense. The formulation of the Ultimate All-In-One Mascara is on the thicker side, which is beneficial because it won’t weigh the lashes down. With the wetter mascaras, my lashes get a smooth coating but they will inevitably start to droop as the mascara sets. So in terms of hold, the Ultimate All-In-One Mascara does a really good job! However, I do find the thicker formulation to be a tad clumpy. Even with the easy-to-use applicator, it’s hard to separate all my lashes to create a really defined look. With that said, the thicker formulation does provide more volume and drama.
The wear was okay, the mascara is not waterproof and I experienced a bit of flaking throughout the day but I do have oily skin to begin with and the humid Vancouver weather doesn’t help either. The mascara does remove very easily; it washes off in solid bits instead of smearing across the lids. Overall, the applicator is the star here! Whether you have naturally luscious or relatively wispy lashes, the compact size of the Revlon Ultimate All-In-One Mascara will definitely help coat your each and every lash!
