MAC Smoky Metallic Times Nine Eyeshadow Palette

Packaging: 
The nine shadows come in a slim square black compact with a clear window on the front that allows you to see all the colors. Each shadow is 0.8g, about the size of a nickel. The palette is travel-friendly and it has a nice and secure magnetic closure.

Formulation:
The last MAC nine-shadow palette I've tried was quite disappointing in terms of formulation so I was pleasantly surprised with the quality of shadows in the Smoky Metallic Times Nine Palette. I believe all these colors are pre-existing shades; there's a great variety of colors and finishes.

Simple Sensation: Subtle beige nude matte. The pigmentation is pretty decent; this shade would make a really nice base color.
Give Me Fire: Shimmery light brown-beige with silvery sparkles. This shade is slightly sheer.
Black Factor: Black-brown satin; slightly patchy but buildable.

Filament: Sheer silvery beige shimmer.
Just Twigged: Taupe pearl with a slightly sheer formulation.
Carbon: Pitch black matte; the formulation is slightly dry and chalky but the pigmentation is buildable. The sparkles you see in my swatches are fallouts Filament, Carbon is completely matte.

By the Silver Moon: Silvery pale green metallic; the formulation is super buttery and pigmented.
Richly-Rich: Light bronze-gold shimmer; this shade is extremely rich but the color is fallout-prone.
Petrol: Satin medium gray that's fairly pigmented but patchy.
