Packaging:
The Light Fantastic actually comes with two refills (2.5ml each) and one outer casing. Each refill (which can easily be used on its own) pops and secures into the shiny silver casing, which I find to be slightly bulky.
To dispense the product, simply click the silver button on the end of the pen. Before the initial use, you have to click on the button for quite some time until the product starts to dispense. The applicator is a simple bristle brush. Other than the outer casing, the packaging of the Light Fantastic pen is virtually the same as most of the other highlighting pens on the market.
In terms of value, $95 CAD may seem like a lot but as compared to the YSL Touche Eclat (2.5ml for $50 CAD), the La Prairie Light Fantastic actually costs less per ml. Also, the fact that the product comes in two separate 2.5ml refills (versus one 5ml pen) ensures a longer shelf-life.
Overall, I'm really liking this product! The price point is high but the value actually works out to be better than the YSL Touch Eclat. The thicker formulation lightly conceals while providing a long-lasting brightening and smoothing effect.
A Swiss skincare and beauty brand, La Prairie is all about luxury and result. Recently I have been testing out the brand's Light Fantastic Cellular Concealing & Brightening Eye Treatment ($95 CAD), so today I want to share with you my thoughts on the formulation. Designed to conceal skin imperfections and brighten the complexion, Light Fantastic is available in three different shades. To read on, click......

Formulation:
The Light Fantastic Cellular Concealing & Brightening Eye Treatment is a cream face highlighter that can be applied to the top of the cheeks, under the eyes, on the brow bone, or anywhere else you want some brightening. It is formulated with a bioactive complex (along with extracts of arnica, chamomile, papaya) that promises to reduce the appearance of fatigue and puffiness. I have here shade "10"; it is a light, shimmer-free pink nude that works very well at concealing undereye circles.
In terms of formulation, this is quite similar to the YSL Touche Eclat, which arguably is the most well-known highlighting pen on the market right now. The big difference I notice is that the La Prairie formulation is slightly thicker and drier (but not drying), which I really prefer because it adheres better to the skin for a longer wear. The coverage it provides is sheer to medium. The product is not a heavy-duty concealer but it indeed brightens and camouflages imperfections. I use this under my eyes and all over my lids to create a more awake appearance on days I don't feel like wearing any makeup.
