NARS to share with you. The Spring 2016 Novelle Vogue Collection consists of some fresh and soft colors such as the

Packaging:
The limited edition NARS Lip Gloss in Vida Loca comes in the classic long and thin NARS gloss tube. The applicator is a standard doe-foot. The lipstick is housed in a simple matte black rectangular case; I really like the steeper cut of the lipstick tip, which aids in a more precise application. The only criticism I have for NARS lipstick packaging is that I wish they have a more luxurious weight to them. Lastly, the Hammamet Duo Eyeshadow comes in a super sleek compact that's the same size as the NARS blushes. There's a nice mirror inside and each shadow is 2 grams.

Formulation:
I haven't tried many NARS shadows before but I am super impressed with this limited edition neutral duo. Included are a gorgeous tanned beige matte and a shimmery bronzed rose. The matte is incredibly creamy and pigmented, hands-down one of the best matte formulations I've worked with. The shimmer, on the other hand, is equally impressive; the color is smooth and pigmented and the texture is super buttery and creamy!

The Vida Loca Lip Gloss is another limited edition release for this collection. A creamy guava coral, Vida Loca is a simple and lightweight gloss. The finish is shiny and not sticky. The color, however, is slightly problematic. As you can see in the lip swatches below, the pigments sink into the fine lines of my lips, making them look slightly wrinkly. With that said, this isn't really noticeable unless you are up close. Additionally, because of the semi-sheer nature of the gloss, Vida Loca looks more warm-toned on my lips.

Last but not least is a gorgeous mulled wine red lipstick called Banned Red. This is a pre-existing shade from NARS that feels more like a fall lip color to me. The formulation is very moisturizing and creamy but the color was a lot sheerer than I expected. The arm swatch below was at least six swipes of the color. Fortunately, the lipstick is buildable on the lips but there is some subtle patchiness. All in all, though, this is a decent lipstick and the wear time is pretty good.
