Packaging:
The Pixi Mattelustre lipsticks come in very plain pale green lipstick tubes. The Pixi logo is embossed across the cap and the tail ends of the tubes have little color windows that indicate the lipstick shade inside.
Formulation:
Both of these Pixi Mattelustre feature a surprisingly non-matte formulation. Even compared to ordinary lipsticks, these are more on the shiny side. The formulation is moisturizing and lightweight and both colors have decent pigmentation.
Plum Berry: This is a deep wine berry. The formulation is pigmented and slick while the finish has a very noticeable sheen.
Pure Fuchsia: A bright barbie pink, this shade has decent color payoff with a natural sheen.
Overall:
If you are looking for matte lipsticks then these are not it. With a name like "Mattelustre", I was expecting these to be at least kind of matte but the finish actually has quite a noticeable sheen. In terms hydration and pigmentation, these are pretty impressive. The wear isn't great since the slick texture makes the colors super prone to smudging and transferring.
