Last Fall, Shu Uemura launched its first Vision of Beauty Collection (Vol. 1) and for Fall 2015, Vol. 2 is introducing even more vibrant colors to unleash your inner artist. Inspired by fun and creative street style, the Haute Street Collection comes with a full range of eye, lip, and cheek colors. To see some swatches of the palettes and eye pencils, click........
Packaging:
The Eye Color Pencils come in simple duo-ended non-mechanical crayon pencils. Both ends are protected with a clear plastic cap.
Formulation:
The Cool x Chic pencil duo has a soft green and blue while Warm x Vibrant is a pink and yellow duo. In terms of formulation, these are a bit disappointing. The crayon tips are soft but they aren't creamy so they tuck and pull on the lids. The pigmentation looks decent when swatched on the arms but on the eyes they don't appear as vibrant and bright as I'd like.
Packaging:
The Haute Street Eyeshadow palettes come in slim and long six-pan compacts. The packaging is entirely white except for the super cool graffiti patterns on the lids. The shadows are refillable as the palette's bottom panel slides out to allow access to the shadow pans.
Formulation:
The Cool x Chic palette come with a matte dark gray, shimmery purple-gray, matte lavender-gray, shimmery purple, shimmery light blue, and shimmery light green. In terms of formulation, most of these shades swatch really sheerly and they don't build very well either. I'm guessing these are intended to be softer colors but I personally prefer my brights to be rich and saturated so these are pretty disappointing.
Warm x Vibrant features a matte chocolate brown, shimmery mauve, matte pale mauve, shimmery pink, shimmery orange, and shimmer orange-yellow. With the exception of the mauve, orange, and yellow, these shadows are also very sheer. The texture is creamy and smooth, but the color intensity simply doesn't match how they appear in the pans.

I love bright colors so the concept of the Haute Stree Collection really intrigued me. With that said, I am very disappointed in the pigmentation of these eye colors. I suppose the intention is for these to be sheer, but I would have preferred a more intense formulation that I can blend out if I desired a softer look.
