NEW Dior Addict Lipstick Collection 2015 in "Smile", "Wonderful", "Tribale" & "Be Dior": Review and Swatches

For Fall 2015, Dior is introducing a brand new Dior Addict Lipstick ($42 CAD each) collection. Available in 44 fashion-forward shades and three different finishes, the new Dior Addict Lipsticks feature a hydra-gel topcoat and a triple oil complex formulation that promise a plump, moisturizing, and shiny finish. Packaging:
The Dior Addict comes in a fairly long lipstick tube. The cap is made of a double-layered plastic with an ethereal rainbow sheen. The "Dior" logo is embedded in silver along one side of the cap and the bottoms of the lipsticks have the iconic knob design.
The lipsticks are embedded with a "CD" core in a contrasting color but after one use the color distinction becomes pretty muddled.

Formulation:
Dior has chosen four shades from the 44-color range that best represent the collection. Each of these four shades also corresponds to a pre-existing Dior Vernis nail polish shade.
"Smile" is a soft warm pink nude that's very sheer with a barely noticeable shimmer. "Wonderful" looks like a bright frosty pink but it applies like a very pale cool pink packed with frosty sparkles. "Tribale" is a lovely sheer coral; like "Smile", it has some shimmers but they are mostly unnoticeable when worn on the lips. Finally, "Be Dior" is a sheer raspberry with a very subtle silver iridescence.
As you can see in the swatches below, all four shades are very sheer. In fact, I would consider these to be more similar to tinted lip balms than actual lipsticks. The formulation is very slick and gel-like, moisturizing but easily transferable so the wear is only about a couple of hours.

Overall:

The new Dior Addict Lipsticks has more of a tinted balm quality as they all have a super sheer and slick formulation. I really enjoy the lightweight yet moisturizing formulation and the revamped packaging is simply stunning. However, I am hoping that the other colors in the 44-shade collection carry more pigmentation as $42 CAD is quite a high price to pay for a tinted lip balm.
