Every year, OPI releases a few collections inspired by famous cities around the world. For Fall 2015, the starring city is Venice and today I want to share with you the fifteen shades (three are limited editions) from the collection. To read on, click......
Be There in a Prosecco:
This is a very pale cream nude. The formulation is a bit sheer but with two coats it's pretty opaque and smooth.

Be There a Prosecco, two coats with no top coat. |
Tiramisu for Two:
This is a soft pink beige cream with a fairly pigmented formulation. Unfortunately, the polish is a tad streaky so I had to use three coats on a few of the nails.
|
Tiramisu for Two, two or three coats with no top coat. |
A Great Opera-tunity:
A soft smoky peach, this is another pigmented cream. However, like Tiramisu for Two, A Great Opera-tunity is also a tad streaky so three coats were needed on some nails.

I Cannoli Wear OPI:
This is a super soft baby blue. The color seems sheer but two coats gave a nice opacity.

I Cannoli Wear OPI, two coats with no top coat. |
Gelato on My Mind:
This is a creamy baby blue. The formulation is buttery and smooth so I only needed two coats for the swatches below.

Purple Palazzo Pants:
A soft lavender cream, Purple Palazzo Pants is smooth and pigmented. I used two coats for the swatches below.

It's a Piazza Cake:
A rich pumpkin orange cream perfect for fall, It's a Piazza Cake is nice and pigmented but the finish is a tad streaky. I used two coats for the swatches below.

Amore at the Grand Canal:
This is a deep holiday red with a creamy finish. The pigmentation is really nice but I did experience a bit of pooling during application (hence the messy cuticle lines). Overall, though, the formulation is very lovely.

Amore at Grand Canal, two coats with no top coat. |
O Suzi Mio:
This is a dark inky eggplant purple. The formulation is very creamy and pigmented, I used two coats for the swatches below.
|

My Gondola or Yours:
This is a dark black with very subtle dark grey shimmer particles. As expected, the formulation is rich and pigmented, I used two coats for the swatches below.
|
My Gondola or Yours, two coats with no top coat. |
Gimme a Lido Kiss:
A bright red with soft shimmers, this shade is very pigmented. It was almost a one-coater but I used two just in case.
|
Gimme a Lido Kiss, two coats with no top coat. |
Worth Every Pretty Penne:
This is a super pretty rose gold shimmer. The formulation is rich and pigmented, one coat to opacity. I used two coats for the swatches just in case.
|
Worth A Pretty Penne, two coats with no top coat. |
Venice the Party? (Limited Edition):
This is a fun and bright shimmer with a perfectly smooth and rich formulation. I used two coats for the swatches below.
|
Venice the Party?, two coats with no top coat. |
St. Mark's the Spot (Limited Edition):
A dark cobalt blue shimmer, this is another excellent blue. The formulation is rich and fairly pigmented. I used two coats for the swatches below.
|
St. Mark's the Spot, two coats with no top coat. |
Baroque...But Still Shopping! (Limited Edition):
Last but not least is a pale gold frost shimmer packed with small square and hex shiny gold glitters. The formulation is pigmented but the texture is a bit thick. The finish is bumpy and uneven so a top coat is pretty imperative.
|
Baroque...But Still Shopping!, two coats with no top coat. |
Overall:
This is a pretty solid collection with lots of nice and easy to apply two-coaters. My personal favorites are Worth a Pretty Penne (rose gold shimmer), Amore at the Grand Canal (deep red), and Venice the Party? (bright blue shimmer).
