THEFACESHOP Get the Look Kit Glamour Collection: Review and Swatches

Earlier this year THEFACESHOP Canada polled fans on Facebook about what classic makeup looks they would like to see created using THEFACESHOP products. The three winning looks were: the simple natural everyday look, the sexy feline cat eye look, and the bombshell glamour look. Single Eyeshadows in "BR01" & "BR02":
Housed in simple clear and white plastic compacts, the shadows in this kit are beautifully pigmented. Included are a chestnut brown (BR02) with subtle shimmers and a glittery warm gold (BR01). The brown is nicely pigmented and smooth while the gold is packed to the brims with sparkles.

Simple Draw Eye Pencil in "01 Black":
This is a simple black pencil liner. The formulation is smooth and creamy, but I found it too prone to smudging. The pigmentation is also not very intense, it's more of a soft black.

Real Gloss Lip Gloss in "PP01 Merlot Purple":
This is definitely the most interesting product in the kit, starting with the applicator. The cap has a button on the top that can be pressed when the applicator is out of the tube. The button pushes out the brush applicator and when the cap is put back on, the brush retracts. I'm not really sure what the whole purpose of this mechanism is but it's certainly cool and unique.
The gloss has a very interesting texture that kind of lands between a matte liquid lipstick and a really pigmented thick gloss. "PP01 Merlot Purple" is an incredibly pigmented dark berry. The texture is a bit thick and the finish is mostly matte. The wear is pretty good and the color isn't drying or moisturizing.

Trendy Nails Nail Polish in "PP408":
No glamorous look is complete without some vampy nails. "PP408" is a dark maroon berry. The formulation is pretty good (two coats for opacity), but the drying time was longer than expected, mostly because the polish has a jelly finish.

Below is a look I did using all the products. I love how gorgeous and sparkly the gold shadow is and the lip color is very bold and pigmented.
