A good mattifying setting powder is a must-have in any makeup bag. Now that my Make Up For Ever HD Pressed Powder is on its last run, I've been looking into other powder options. Today I want to talk to you about the Rodial Instaglam Compact Deluxe Translucent HD Powder ($75 CAD), an ultra luxurious translucent powder that promises to mattify and blur skin imperfections. Rodial Instaglam Compact Deluxe Translucent HD Powder: Review
Rodial Instaglam Compact Deluxe Transparent HD Powder
Packaging:
The HD powder comes in an absolutely luxurious silver compact. The lid has some faux leather padding and there is a stunning "R" emblem. Inside there is a sizable mirror and the compact has a very nice, hefty weight to it. This powder is hands down one of the most luxuriously-packaged product I've tried.

Formulation:
This talc-based mattifying setting powder has a very, very finely-milled texture. The powder feels creamy to the touch and it applies very evenly, instantly taking any shine away from the skin.
It reminds me a lot of the Make Up For Ever HD Pressed Powder but the Rodial powder has a much fancier packaging and 1.5 times more product. The powder looks white in the pan but applies transparent so it will work with any skin tone. The product blurs pores and fills in fine lines, the mattifying effect lasts about a couple of hours on me before my T-zone slowly regains its unsightly shine.

Overall:
I love this powder! The product itself is smooth and creamy, it mattifies the skin and blurs pores. What sealed the deal for me is ultimately the packaging though. The compact is absolutely stunning and luxurious!

Availability:
Rodial is available online and in stores at Murale.
