Essie has pretty much a collection for every occasion and for Summer 2015, Essie released a Bridal Collection, perfect for the brides-to-be's or just lovers of soft pinks and classic reds. Today I have swatches of all six shades from the collection, to check them out, click......
Tying the Knotie:
Up first is a classic sheer milky pink. The formulation is thin but with three coats you can get a decent covering. I think this is a very elegant and classy color for the wedding day but it's also a very office-friendly color.

Hubby for Dessert:
Formulation-wise, this shade is quite similar to Tying the Knotie. A pale lavender, Hubby for Dessert is quite sheer and runny. I used three coats for the swatches below.

Worth the Wait:
This is a soft sheer peach with subtle lavender shimmers (click on the images to enlarge). The formulation of this one is a bit hard to work with as it is not at all self-leveling. I used two coats for the swatches below. It can definitely use a third coat but the polish gets patchy and thick when I add more coats.

Brides To Be:
A super sheer warm beige nude, the formulation is decent. I used two coats for the swatches below and I think this is definitely one of those shades that's meant to be worn sheer.

Brides No Grooms:
Va-va-voom! This is such a gorgeous hot pink with an amazingly pigmented formula. One coat for almost opaque coverage but I used two for the swatches below. The shade is also nice and fast-drying.

Happy Wife Happy Life:
Step out of the way sheer nudes! Who said you can't have red nails on your wedding day? This polish is the reason that I love Essie. Creamy, pigmented and pretty much opaque in one coat, Happy Wife Happy Life is a bright tomato red with a superb formulation. I used two coats for the swatches below.

Overall:
If you've followed my polish posts in the past then you know that I much more prefer bold and saturated colors so some of these sheer shades definitely weren't my cup of tea. However, this collection has a nice variety of soft hues so if sheer pinks and light beiges are what you prefer, then you are in luck. Overall though, my picks are definitely Happy Wife Happy Life and Brides No Grooms.
Availability:
The Essie Bridal Collection should be in stores late April or early May.
